Finally, after 29 years of doing this, I got a 600!! For me, I was HOT! Started the first game, 5 frames of 7 spares (one open).  It wasn't looking good.  Then I followed up with 7 strikes to finish with a 230!  I couldn't believe it, but I was thrilled.  Started the second game with a strike, followed by 8 spare.  Third and fourth carried strikes then I opened two frames, a few more strikes and a few more open frames, I finished with a 177.  Not to shabby for a 155+ average.  Started the third game with 2 strikes and an open frame.  Did some quick calculations and knew there was no way I was getting 600.  By the sixth frame I had two opens and was at 102, no way this was going to happen.  WRONG!  Starting in the seventh frame, I threw five strikes and an 8 count for a 220!  WOW!!  Down side to all of this?  Unsanctioned league!  But my brother gave me my best encouragement, now that I've done it once, I know I can do it!!  That's half the battle!!

I just can't believe that after all these years I am still doing this.  I started at age 9 and at 38, I'm still at it!  Am I nuts?  It is sometimes one of the most frustrating things that I do, but week after week I go back. 

In fall/winter I bowl in a Mixed Fellowship league, and after 7 years, we are one big family.  And this week we, my man and I, are starting in a summer Anytime Doubles league.  I am very excited about this because my partner has never bowled competitively, much less more than once ever so many years, and it's fun helping him learn.

I saw a sign at the bowling alley last night for this site and just couldn't wait to check it out.  I am anxious to meet so many new people who enjoy this frustration with me!!
